Pajama Pants... and Tie Dye:)

Laurels made pajama pants and then tie dyed them! The girls had a blast dyeing their pants and other items of clothing....once you start you just have to keep going:) We invited the Miamaid class to join us -they dyed their own projects (a secret service project:) While waiting....a few jumped on the tramp.

Ariel, our newest Beehive!

Welcome Ariel!!!! Our newest Beehive turned 12 on Tuesday. The Beehive class invited the Laurels to join them for a little birthday party. Special gifts were given to Ariel. A prayer rock, scripture book marks, marking pencil, a framed mutual scripture, a paper-back of the Book of Mormon- with a testimony written inside, and a fabric scripture cover, a scripture tote, and her personal progress book! We enjoyed cakecups and ice-cream after!

Mantua bike ride *_*

The laurels and Priests had a bike ride adventure around the Mantua lake. We picked the most windy day we could possibly find:) It was a pure test of endurance! It felt like the wind was against us in all directions...even the seaguls had a hard time flying. Jill had an unlucky mishap with a barbed wire fence and came back with a battle wound:( I thinks the kids enjoyed it though! Perhaps one more time...on a nice summer day:)

EFY April 30, 2010

We had an awesome EFY! The speakers were: Greg Simpson...he talked about "keeping a gospel perspective while pursuing life's goals". He played the guitar and sang for us. He always wanted to be a rock star...but realized his real happiness was with his family. The next was Jeff Griffin...he was paralyzed from a fall while painting a barn at the age of 22. He told his story and what he's gained from his experience. The final speaker was Jack Marshall. He talked about how to fit in and staying true to what you believe in.

We gathered the girls for a breakfast before we went and then gathered with the boys after and had pizza with the Bishop!
